I first created this one back in 1999 and I’ve updated it using Miyuki DURACOATS and I’ve added a metallic border and trim! I hope you enjoy this CLASSIC and it’s updated look!\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eI always use 4lb Fire Line fishing line to stitch; a long, size 12 beading needle; size 11\/0 Delica beads; size 15\/0 seed beads for the trim and I chose to use a toggle bar and ring for the closure.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eI used 14 different colors for a total of 1891 beads! There are 19 columns and 199 rows.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eI've added a simple 3-bead trim. I used some opaque black seeds for the trim. This step is optional.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe finished size of NEW ENGLAND GARDENS is 1 1\/4 inches wide (which includes the trim) by 6 3\/4 inches before adding the clasp.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIf you need to lengthen the piece, just continue on with Delica #310 and #434 as the pattern is written. To shorten, I would start in the middle of the piece and work one direction until 1\/2 of your desired length, minus the closure measurement. Then complete the other end. Just stop where you need to.
